Folks, my GOD: As an inveterate insomniac, someone with rheumatoid arthritis, and just a generally intense high-energy/high-anxiety guy, I just woke up from one of the deepest nights of sleep I've ever had--and I'm certain it was because I was lucky enough to get my first massage from Timur yesterday evening. Primarily a combination of Hawaiian and Thai styles, Timur's approach was equal parts invigorating and relaxing--targeted pressure paired with broad calming strokes--and was simply one of the best massages I've ever had. In addition, his home studio is spotless, comfortable, and conveniently located to Berlin transit, and the man himself is one of the nicest and most thoughtful masseuses around: warm, personable, and invested in listening to his clients rather than arriving full of preconceptions about what all bodies "need." (He's also blissfully free of any amorphous oovie-groove, so it's easy to take his knowledge of the body seriously.) What's more, if you're from either of the US's obnoxiously expensive coasts, it's a perfect vacation treat: Comparable sessions in Brooklyn have cost me twice as much (and often more). I'd originally booked an hour, but the session was so damn good I added 15 minutes more (and the amount of time was his own suggestion: Frankly, if he'd suggested another full hour, I probably would've agreed). In short, for as long as we're lucky enough to have Timur offer massages (while he weighs a number of career options), I'll be seeing him at least once (if not more) during every Berlin trip!

One of the best massages I’ve had between Miami, New York, Paris, and Tokyo. Timur reads your body well and knows how to treat you to make sure you’re comfortable and able to fully relax into the treatment. I occasionally dislocate ribs and he was careful to apply pressure when and where needed. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or in Berlin.

I found out about Timur through the Urban Sport app and I ended up booking a 30min slot with 30min extension which was awesome. I was really tight after playing sports all weekend especially in my upper back and trapezius and he managed to release a lot of knots and I felt really energised and centred afterwards. His place really warm, inviting and safe which is great as a woman getting a massage at someone's house. I really enjoyed our conversations, was nice to find some common ground. I will definitely be back & recommend him to my friends!
